Okay, SP #1-Your package will be going out tomorrow... two handmade items are complete and the third will be this evening. It will be worth the wait.

SP #2- Yours are started and will mail Wednesday.

We had a pipe burst and spent all day Saturday on the repair. I actually think it would have been easier to pay someone, but my husband felt we could do it. 9 hours later, two trip to Home Depot and it was fixed, but we were covered in mud.

Have a great week all. Great packages coming in.

Okay, just need to share and get this aired.

I have been so frustrated with my sewing machine. A Brother embrodiary machine I bought 5 years ago but just took out of the box a year ago. I have had a dickens of a time adjusting stitch length and everything is is complicated.

I was talking about it at work and my coworker said she bought her daughter a machine and she could not thread it. She never even used it. Asked if I would like it. I said sure. I am one hahppy camper. It was a simple Singer but oh how I love it.

SO, now I can finally be happy with the quality fo the stitches in the items I make for others.

Anyone else prefer the simple basics?

Yes, Hav4boys! I have a Viking Sapphire that is way to involved for me. The books might as well be written in Greek! I attended 2 classes only to sit and listen to the teacher yak about her home sewing. I bought a Janome 2660 at a garage sale for $80 and I love it. I got the book on line and it is easily understood!

Sibi..please tell where you got that fantastic fabric! I would love to have some of that!!!!

    Quiltnut..am I your SP?

Quilty Louise...my thoughts are with you. I am in a similar situation with my mother. She is 95 and her doctor is not sure she will make the summer..we are not in Hospice yet but she is really slipping. Sometimes she knows me and sometimes she doesn't but she still loves to see what quilt I am making. It is so hard to realize she isn't the person I know anymore.

I keep checking. My SP should be getting her package any time now. It is one of those you cannot track. Boooo! Last time I sent one it only took 5 days. Not very patient, am I? No I am not. Loving seeing all the wonderful packages coming in.

    Default I received my Swap!

I received my April Swap from Sherry Snare. She sent me some great fabric, yarn, patterns, a copy of American Patchwork and Quilting, and some needle threaders. So exciting! Thank you!

Well........today I had a card left by the postman while I was at quilting class to say there was a packet for me - International!
I'll have to wait until tomorrow to collect from the Post Office Parcel Office (mailboxes you can leave things in haven't reached our shores yet ).

I still have no idea who sent the Michael Miller Fairy Frost, btw!

It's Monday and the sun is shining, but it is very chilly out. The weather keeps teasing us, but
Summer will be here before I know it and I'll be complaining about the heat!

*bouncing and waiting for the postman today*

Mary, I love the bright yellow makeup bag. I like all colors, the only reason I don't care for pink is because it looks awful on me. DH came in hungry yesterday (before I made it to the grocery store) and ate my M&Ms. I told him he owed me some more.
