Because of time constraints, surgeries (2), the illness and subsequent death of my mom and LIFE in general getting in the way, I was unable to finish my Batik blocks in time so I bowed out of the swap but I DID finish the blocks last week so wanted to show you what I made with them. I still have to sandwich and quilt the quilt but at least the blocks did get finished. I think I'll be giving the quilt to my neice who is in college and loves the bright colors to bright up her dorm room.

    Feathers,

I think maybe it was a blessing in disguise that you had to drop out of the swap because these blocks look just fantastic all together. I love how your eye is sometimes drawn to the batik stars formed but then you blink and the black star that is formed is the focal point. This looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing it with us.

PS I am sorry for your loss.

Fabulous! I am sure glad that despite all the pain and heartaches you have experienced the past few months, that you were still able to sew a beauty. Great job.
