Well, now that is has snowed (finally - unusual for us not to have had some snow by this time), I find myself really snuggling up to the machine with my little heater beside me. Even though the blocks are for spring, I get the most creative when we are 'forced' to stay inside.......except my poor birds are hungry.....gotta go fill the feeders.

I have a question and I know it sounds whinny, but...I don't feel well. LOL That's my excuse... Do we really have to pre-wash. I never do and everything turns out fine.....

Remember that even though we are using 100% cotton, we all use different grades of it. And the colors. And the dyes. And some have allergies to the chemicals. I never used to wash either, but I have since changed because of the sensitivities of some people. This has been so apparent as lots of my quilts to go the NICU, and those babies don't need to fight off anything more........and this swap can be so cute with the different themes of springs, they may be used for toddler quilts as well.......So.......whine all the way to the washer......(please)

Yes, the FINISHED square will be 12 inches. I measured my unfinished block and it is 12.5,.......just like we want....Sheri, I think the rotary cutter blades going round and round are messing with your mind......you did cut lots and lots and lots with the Dresdens. Whew girl. take a break for a few minutes! Get your eyes set back in your head
