I haven't decided on a table runner or a dresser scarf yet, lol i'll have to give it some thought

Just a quick question. The directions say to make the cuts one inch off the center seams, or wider to vary the look. I am assuming you want it kept to the one inch cuts?

Short an Sweet, assumption correct. We are doing the 1" cut from the center seam.

I've never made this block before so I am making a couple before deciding if I am up for this. I have one question. How do you press the seams on the 4 patch? Open?

I have been pressing to one side. ALthough might be better if pressed open.
