Jaba it's so pretty. What cute little girl pictures. It's been a rough day today. A F1 tornado went through our little town yesterday. right down the main highway. Lots of trees down.and such damage. No deaths or injuries that I have heard about. We only had small limbs and leaves down. It's so strange how a tornado will hit the ground then go up in the air and come back down a few miles away. Our power was off from about 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.. Temp was 92* and very very humid after the storm passed. We are so thankful for such a small amount of damage. Everyone take care of yourselfs. Hugs Mary

Mary, I lived in SD for a number of years and was always terrified of tornados. I, too, am glad that your town only suffered minimal damage and no one was hurt or killed! You take good care of yourself and stay safe. Your quilting board family loves you!

Jaba that is a beautiful quilt. Pretty panels and beautiful quilting.

We had the storms the other day, with bad lightning, and boomer thunder. Down pours with hail. We were blessed, because another area had a F1 tornado. They had tornadoes in the county where my dad is, but he is ok.

I forgot to tell ya all that about a week ago me and hubby were coming home, and we looked over to something or somethings moving. There was 4 little baby skunks by the road walking around. Glad they stayed put, but were so cute. Another day coming home on the interstate, we thought we passed a big dog that had been hit by a car laying on the side, but hubby said that he looked in his rear view mirror, and seen it was a small black bear. Poor baby!

Weird weather everywhere it seems. Beautiful here yesterday and then last night all of a sudden the skies went almost black. Wind, I thought the trees were going to be pulled out by the roots, and then it poured rain for about 45 minutes. Pulled up some shingles on the house, rain got in underneath and now we have a leak in the enclosed patio. Hope it can be an easy fix

weird weather for sure. Mary, that's so scary. we don't get tornados, tank God for that. we get water spouts, tornados over the water. i'd be so scared of a tornado, I couldn't live with that h]threat over my head. I don't know how you do it. we get wild storms and super storms, like Sandy a few yrs ago, and hurricanes, but a tornado does way crazy damage.
Susan, a bear!!! oh my goodness. we get deer, skunks, opossums, and raccoons, but never a bear here. he could have come on your porch. scary!!!

Mary it's a good thing you didn't get any damage. I think since I moved out West that there are so many things to worry about than when I lived in NH. There we had hurricanes but only every once in awhile and usually only the power went out unless you lived on the coast. Here I have a fit when I hear tornado warnings. One touched down a few years ago and was about 5 miles from me and it did some damage. There is a lot of flooding here and this week some homes were damaged but it was north of me. It was 48 when I got up this morning but has now warmed up to 80 and then 91 and 92 on Sat and Sun. I knew the cool weather wouldn't last long. I guess I can't complain because it has been nice here so far.
