Can't wait to get some of the lovely blocks that have been pictured. Thank you sewbizgirl for doing this swap. I admire any of you hostesses for taking on the challenge of swapping. (And sewbiz, if the envelopes aren't yet sealed, I don't need change!)

I agree. I shuffle about half that number in each boom swap between the two groups. It’s a little nerve wracking but 1600 at one time, wow!

Wow, you are an angel for taking on this swap for us, Sewbiz! 1600 blocks would make my head reel! There is no way I would ever be brave enough to swap like that.

Really didn't know what I was doing, but I've got it figured out now... next time we will be sending in the bags with the assortments already in them. Ten different in each bag. Then they will be ready to swap, bag for bag, which will be much easier!

These blocks are so much fun. I'm excited about the quilt I'm going to make from mine.

I was feeling so bad to think that I missed this swap but now I see that it is going to continue! I will keep an eye open for it to start again. In the meantime down stairs I go to make some nine patches to be sure of my scant quarter seam. I got to page 8 today and will be following along to see what you all are going to do with your nine patches. What I have seen are so pretty!

Glad you want to play, Phyllis! Watch for the sign up, mid May.

Today I got this quilt out to spray baste it on the driveway. I made the top over a year ago. I had forgotten it used 9 Patches! So, while I had it all stretched out I thought I'd take a picture and show it to y'all: the 9 Patch Queens. These 9ps are completely scrappy.

The driveway was partly shady by that time of day.

I saw online a quilt with a similar setting done with blue, but in stripes, definitely not the first one made that way, or an original pattern, as I saw it elsewhere with brown stripes using sampler blocks. I thought it would be cool to change that up, and make the stripes into a diamond shape. It has the same color triangle on both sides of the 9P, so it would look a little different than what you've done. I was trying to picture in my head what it would look like with the color on just one side, so your picture is great to see. Sometimes I wish I had that EQ8 program for quickly visualizing what I'm imagining.
