i guess the po lied again, my partner didn't post today, so i guess she didn't get it yet. oh well. i guess from now on when they promise for one day, i need to add another day to the delivery.

No pics today. Mary I love your hat pincushion with matching pins and the cute sewing machine chime/pincushion. There is a lot of talent on this board. Is everyone out shopping for Mother's Day? I went to a few yard sales and got an old Singer machine for $5. The only thing it's missing is the spool holder. It's a #362 and I thought it was the same one I have but mine is a #368. Can't beat that price. I hope it sews ok. Beautiful weather today. It was in the 60's with sun and a little wind so it wasn't as hot as yesterday. No rain either but my lawn is waiting for my DS the lawnmower. Take care everyone and have a Happy Mother's Day tomorrow

Wow nhnative that is wonderful on the sewing machine. I love buys like that. I look forward all summer to getting out at the yard sales.

I sure do miss looking for something for my mother and mother in law for Mother's Day. I have some beautiful pink flowers for Memorial Day. They are mom's favorite.

The sun is already back out here after a down pouring rain.

Humm Post Office says the needlebook I sent was delivered today. Someone needs to check their mail for a small box. Good girl Peg,it's always a good feeling to get it made and then mailed.

mine was to be delivered yesterday. no one responded about it yet.
My on got me a wood watch for my birthday and for mothers day.
(check them out at we wood watches). really unusual and they plant a tree for every watch you buy.
my son has 2 and i have one. he also bought me a plant for outside, some type of purple daiseys, I think
it might be echenasia. Made my mom a lime cake with lime drizzle on top. taking her to lunch on monday.
got my mil a card saying shes like a mom to me, will prob take her out too. she doesn't celebrate it coz her mom died on mothers day. worked on my hand pcing project today, a 3/4" hexie quilt. that's all for today. happy mom's day to all.

This is how crazy I am....I've been couped up in the house all day with four young children (DH and oldest DS at a basketball tourney). Just as we were preparing for bed, I read lawsonmugs' post about somebody needing to check their mailbox. I thought, Hey, what if it were me? So I loaded up the girls, 12yo and 10yo, in the car (dad home by now with the others) and - IN OUR JAMMIES - we drove to the mailbox. Guess what - it WAS me!

Right then and there we opened the package and oohed and aahed! Just LOVE the little purse needle book! And the sewing machine pin cushion/wind chime is amazing! We immediately passed around the chocolates and my sweetie 12yo says, "But we already brushed our teeth!" Needless to say, given the absence of chocolate in the photo, there was a re-brushing of teeth. Thank you, Mary, for giving my day a special ending!! (The little extras were also appreciated.)

Peg the little purse needle book, and the pin cushion sewing machine are so pretty. All the other goodies are so nice too. Your story of all of you getting together to go to the post office is sweet.
