Looks like a lot more are in this round this time. I really enjoy this swap, mostly because there is actually no pressure, no theme and anything goes like in size and decoration. I saw something on The Quilt Show that I thought I might try this time.

I may have to think about a St. Paddy's Day or Easter wall hanging, Valentine's will be over Rhonda

I have to agree with Jeanne, this is also one of the reasons I love this swap.

Can we do mini's as wall hangings? I am in a mini club at my LQS and the patterns are a lot of fun.

I am almost 95% sure what I will make for next time. The pattern is out on my sewing table so when I get back into town from this trip on the 18th, I will have a 4 day weekend and will not be traveling again until the 3rd of December. I am looking forward to spending some time at home and catching up on some serious sewing.

Anoka the only limits I set were it has to be bigger than a mugrug and smaller than a lap quilt. so minis are fine as long as they are bigger than the average mugrug. most mugrugs are in the 6"-8" area.

I just don't want anyone to be receiving a 5" wall hanging and be disappointed.

Any thoughts ladies and gents on how you would feel about a mini wall hanging? I wouldn't have a problem with it if I got one. I'd enjoy it no matter the size.

I wouldn't mind it at all . I even have a few on my design wall that may work well for the swap. I'll post a few pics and see if they are likeable enough.

There is am mini swap on the QB but it has rules and partners specifics that sort of takes a little of the fun out of being creative. Maybe in the future I will get adventurous and participate in a few but I really do like the freedom of the no rules swap.

I have a question- I am fairly new to quilting and not very good at binding yet and not confident enough in the way it looks yet. Do they have to have binding or can they have something else?

Hi Bulllock2us, You can do anything you want. There is a method called pillow casing that has no binding and you could do a four step binding where each side id sewn on separately and the ends are tucked in. You can fold the backing to the front for a nice finish too.

Be creative as you want. Here is a little tutorial posted from the last swap to help with binding and it really helped me. Maybe you will find it useful too.

I did that with the binding for the WH that I just completed and it does make a difference.
