Lie to you about what? Believe it or not, most of the people that work at the post office don't know their own rules. I've had many instances where I had to tell the post office people what to do.

Delivery confirmation was only 80 cents. It is well worth it. I was pleasantly surprised that the cost was so low.

My goodies came today - all the way from Missouri!!

Thank you, lawsonmugs, for all the surprises. The pumpkin pincushion is so cute and very well made! I needed the tissue cover very badly and I love the manicure case. I've never seen that before and it is a very clever idea! And the fabrics will be put to good use!

It's rainy and cold here today, so your package really brightened my day!

    Thanks for everything, Mary!

Delivery confirmation is for your protection and it will be required for the next swap. If it's not purchased, you won't be able to participate. Sorry to be this way but it's either we do it or stop doing the swap.

I guess I won't be able to do the swap anymore. To have a tracking number for the last package I sent out which cost me $7 to send without the tracking number would have been almost $20 to get the tracking number. :(

cindle - I think Delivery COnfirmation is only good within the US. If you're from Canada, do you have to fill out a customs form? There should be a number on that form which can serve as a tracking thing.. I think!

No I just had to fill out a sticker that said where it was going and who it was from and what the contents are. I always check of the gift box so customs knows it's a gift. I think it's a different type of shipping when you get the tracking number. I do know that my package is covered for up to $100 if lost and I always keep my reciept and shipping slip incase the package does go missing. Everyone I've shipped to gets they packages thank goodness. But as far as that sticker goes there's no tracking number on it.

sorry your week has been bad...but by your location I wonder just how bad can it be. Working with that big jolly man and those adorable elves should put a smile on your face.lol lol

hope that the skies are clear and it arrives soon. ;)

Ok. The reason I asked was since I'm in the US, and every time we have to fill out a customs form there's a number on it. It's been a long while since I received anything from Canada so I forgot.

I think they may have quoted the cost of delivery confirmation WITH a signature required or of CERTIFIED mail, both of which are a higher price, you do have to be careful and specify delivery confirmation ONLY no signature required. the first time I went I wasn't clear and they were going to charge me A LOT and I asked them why it was so much and thats when they explained it to me. Plus one of the PO people charged me for "package" shipping instead of "first class" and that cost an extra $5.00 so I will be much more careful in the future, LOL
