I just love both of the block a month ideas! It would be a challenge for me because I have never dared to try such a thing. A bit daunting, but exciting.

Oh, did anybody think of CHOCOLATE??? The monthly quilt pieces are a fantastic idea!! That would really be something to look forward to each time.

Do we start this December, or wait until January?

You guys have some great ideas-unfortunately, I don't have anything to add, but since I'm in such a small town, I'm not sure what I'll send, but I'll figure out something.

well poco, i bet u'll think of something. u know, a home made card of some kind would be delightful. we're not doing this to see who can accumulate the most loot or send the most, it's for fun and anything u can come up with in your area will be cherished. a pleasant past memory for in the future and we all get to know each other a bit better, and nothing is more precious than a FRIEND.

I agree 200% with you dojo. Everyone needs a new friend they can love and care about. I'd be so happy to receive a card, homemade or not!

I'm really not thinking of sending lots of big stuff....just little things to let the person know I am thinking of them...besides...who doesn't love to get something in the mail...doesn't matter what it is!

I can't wait to start posting as well.I am planning on maybe sending a lovely card one month and maybe a gift another month. I don't know if I can post chocolate from Australia. The customs officers may not let it go through because they might like to eat it themselves !!!!!
