QCRobin - I found the same thing to be true about black - whats up with that? Kona is usually so easy to work with but the black does seem to be rather ornery.

Can't wait to see it, Donna!

New Topic: What should the theme be for September -- or should we take a break from themes for the month and do sender's choice?

Oh no breaks, themes are grand. Challenging and all that. BTW I have an extra bold Amish block finished if we run accidentally short here just let me know.
Theme: Nuts. Oh nuts! Don't fall far from the Apple tree (in honor of school starting and apples are in their prime in Sept).. Falling colors? Indian Summer? Harvest basket? lots of basket patterns and I for one have never made one.. it would be fun to see the variety that are made/chosen.. and its for me a challenging block. I am in! sign me up!

A good idea. Since by the time they are finished (except for those zippy gals) it will be fall! (Or spring in Australia!)

Back to baking. Today is my baby boy's 25th birthday. Stinky husband just reminded me that it would be his last birthday at home ... and his last as an unmarried man. WAH!!!
