Happy me I bought the small and medium table top 3 drawers and cleaned up that bottom drawer in the sewing cabinet. And the top one too. Now I can find things much easier when I'm at the cutting table.

Well, I'm not sure if this counts as organizing, but I hope it does. I am working on a Christmas wall hanging/small quilt. I have made 2 of them and am making about 6 more, so throughout last year, I purchased Christmas fabric on sale and happily stowed it away in various places.

Last night, I needed to find the fabric for my quilt (finally, I'm making one for me). Anyway, I went to all the places I put the fabric and just piled it on the floor behind my sewing chair. Oops! I think I can make about 20 of those puppies with the fabric I have! Everytime I scoot back from the sewing machine, I get stopped by the pile of fabric.

But, happily, I took that as a challenge to add some additional sashing, borders, etc. to mine. I'm almost finished piecing my top.

Then......I'll fold those other fabrics that are just thrown on top of each other and put them in a plastic milk crate so I have them readily available.

Working thru 2 goals.....organize and fabric moratorium...........then, I get an email from my LQS.......clearance fabric down to $3.50/yard and the sale ends Monday.

Inhale........breathe out slowly.........I know some of that fabric I need........it matches exactly other fabric I have.........$3.50 a yard?!?

But, I will resist and work on my existing projects (graduation gifts, new baby quilts, new 2016 Block of the Months, and the Christmas quilts). Then, I'll know how much (if any) fabric I need for backings.

Plus, I may just keep that stack of fabric behind my sewing chair to remind me of the amount I already have!

Everyone have a great day and some good sewing time this weekend! Happy Valentine's Day.........As I tell my friends...and the people at the jewelry store.......

"I live with my Valentine, in my Valentine, I have everything I've ever wanted and more than I ever dreamed of"!

Then, I just substitute "Valentine" with any other occasion "Birthday Present", "Anniversary Present", "Christmas Present", etc.

    It's a good life!

    way to go Nora B.

I bought a small table top and midi table top 3 drawer for the craft room and all the stuff that I had dumped into the sewing table now has a place and is in it. And while I was doing that I got the tops of the coffee table, and two chester drawers cleaned off woohoo! Now the 3 drawer filing cabinet is a little messier than it was but i'm getting there.

Then I got the belts on my car tightened, the wheel well patched so it won't tear up and any more tires and a new tire. So I should be all ready for the safety inspection next month. I love it when a plan comes together.

I spent time in one corner of my space...folded fabric that I had used in a project (all from my stash) that went in the mail yesterday...tidied up my cutting area as well...then rewarded myself with sew time on my 365 challenge...work tomorrow, so must get a little shut eye...

That is great that you got the area cleaned up after finishing a project. I want to have those kinds of habits.

I got more table drawers for the home office and cleaned up all the stationary stuff. Surprising how just organizing the desk top can make an area so much more pleasant to work in.

All of that sounds like progress to me! I made a mess of my cutting table by making Valentine cards and cutting charms for a new twister quilt. Thankfully I made myself clean up the paper mess before treating myself to starting the new quilt. Tomorrow will be heavy cleaning elsewhere in the house.

I was able to work in my fabric corner some over the weekend.
Wasn't able to sit for long stretches due to my back still hurting.

Ordered 10 more 30" shelves so that I will be able to expand the
space to put more fabric. However since I haven't any kind of dent
in the storage bins think it is HIGHLY possible I will run out of shelf
space long before I can show any remarkable change.

Tossed out about 10-15 empty boxes as I was trying to to hunt
    for something.

After taking several weeks to get through the green fabric, I'm now on to the blues. I guess I just don't really care for working with green LOL!! That is the third time I've that happen, once with the green vestments, and then with a almost all green wallhanging for St. Pats, and now folding.

With all three, I lost enthusiasm and finally had to force myself to get through it. Though doing the exact same thing/pattern with other colors went just fine LOL!!

I need to come up with something different for my scraps too.
