    watson's mom...to put the batting in, layer it on the back of the focus fabric and treat that like one piece of fabric. I suppose you could even spray baste them together if you thought it necessary, but I didn't.

    Then, when you make the tube, the layers are, background on the bottom face up, focus fabric face down with batting on top and sew all three along long sides to make a tube.

    Beautiful! Your quilting with contrasting thread makes the center look lacy. Such an elegant piece to dress up the table.

    Very nice runner. I too have made one and like you think making them could be quite addictive.
    I didn't add the tassels but they certainly finish it off beautifully.
    Already got fabric for another. Only takes 1/2hour to make and that includes the quilting.
