    I'd quilt it, and stitch the edges with a double straight stitch about 1/2" from the edge and snip it to get a raggy edge.

    I would birth it and then quilt in whatever manner you wish. I do charity quilts for preemies and sick kids and the hospital does not accept tied quilts. Thus I never tie children's quilts now. Good luck!!

    I think baby quilts hold up much better if machine quilted. I actually hate the feel of tied quilts...You could use most any pink or other color in the quilt for binding.

    Thanks for explaining the birthing method, makes since, just did not know it was referred to as birthing. Good tip on little fingers getting caught. Birthing method, sid or tie would be beautiful.

    Always learning something! I've used the birthing technique for years, but didn't know it had such a great name for it! Yes I would do that........

    I vote for birth and quilt it however you like. I am not a fan of tied quilts
