Default A batik Spicy Spiral and a Scrappy Mystery quilt

The dark batik Spicy Spiral was for my oldest daughter's birthday. It has a serious error - it almost became potholders, but I couldn't bring myself to cut it up.

The Scrappy Mystery quilt from Judy's Train ride thread will be a Quilt of Valor as soon as the case and label are finished. It's going to a young lady. It's brighter than the pictures - coral and purple. Now how did the back come up first?

Love them both! Curved binding can be tricky, you did a wonderful job and I especially like the way you matched the binding to the fabric.

Joyce, I found a wedge behind the sewing machine after the runner was together and partially quilted- look in the cream row between wedge 7 and 8 (from when the cream starts) See the big jump. Obviously, all the colors are off, but it shows most in the light area. I didn't tell my daughter. I keep forgetting to ask her if she's found the error.

Paperprincess, changing colors was tricky, but with both batik runners, I felt there was no other way. I don't have a picture of the beachy one. It is gorgeous. Off to visit #4 daughter and grab a picture.
