    It opens only so you can take the cover off to wash it..you put it under or on top of your feet...

    Sue that is so pretty. I used to make some thing like that, but not that big. I always had to get up every 2 hours or to reheat in the microwave. Got so tired of doing that so I now use a soft heat heating pad in my bed but I do use the one I made when I'm watching tv and I'll warm it and then set it on the floor to warm my feet while sitting here watching tv. There is space betwen the floor and the ground and it is so cold when it gets in the 20's. Great job on yours, it looks so dainty and pretty. Huggies, Fay

    Do you have to use Muslin for the liner? I don't have any because I don't use it very much. I can buy some, just wondered if it could be plain cotton.
