A buckeye is a nut (not edible) from the state tree of Ohio...the Buckeye tree. On game days you can buy necklaces for $5 that are strung with Buckeyes and scarlet and gray beads. Even the guys wear them.

The buckeye leaves and nuts are a great touch for the scarlet and grey!

In Ohio also and a Grandson wants a quilt like this or something similar. Do you have or can tell me where I can obtain the pattern? Nancy @ CWC Quilters Thanks for any help you can afford me.

How much fun it is to have hubby so interested in what you are doing. Both of you should be proud.

Absolutely love it. Even better with the timing, lol. Where did you find that pattern, so I can buy it, too. My whole family are Buckeye fans, but one daughter has Brutus tattoed on her ankle. This would be a great quilt for her.

It's lovely but I was expecting a tribute to Roy Orbison when I read the title, maybe he is a fan as I hope most of us were!!
