Remember those strip blocks we learned about from using leftover strips? I know Shadow had made some--and others. Well--I had 5 of those and cut one up to make bookmarks. I like that they had the extra muslin on the back. (The other 4 are in a table topper to be shown later..)

I really like these--and I love the backs too! Two were cut at 2.5", and one at 3"

    Questions:
    1. Do they need to be quilted? I think I'll make them look worse if I do. I like the little puffiness they have.

    2. When you turn something inside out do you sew the open space on the machine or by hand? Neither works good for me! My by hand stitching looks like pre-school work and on the machine it looks bad too. How about glue or a staple? :?

now those are cute! I would suggest something stiff like wonder under on at least one side on the inside, and it comes in rolls too, I'd get some 1/4", stick it in the opening and fuse it closed.

kathy--that sounds like my favorite way! So--I peel some paper off the sides ot this miracle stuff and iron it between the folded in fabrics and it'll stick??? Forever???? :D

the one I used last nite to hem my new blouse that I wanted to wear to work today is REALLY stuck, you couldn't get it loose without ripping something! I have 3 different widths and I think they are all a different brand but they are all good, no paper tho. Just make sure it's where you want it and don't get it on your iron, then you might hate me  LOL

Thanks Kathy--I'll be caerful. Hope Joanne's has this stuff.

Ruth--I looked at a lot of stuff for tassle material--but nothing matched. I liked leather strips--but no way will they ever hold in there. So--I kept it simple. I tried!!
