    I have done the one on the right.... looks superb.... there is too much darkness in the middle on the one on the left.

    I vote for the one on the right. It shows the black squares better.

    I like the one on the right because the center of the other one is hard to see all of the darks in one place.

    The one on the right. But another thing to consider would be the left side arrangement but with a red/black fabric for the center.

    Yep, I like the one on the right the best. But either one will make an amazing quilt.
