It's adorable and a great design for a little one. Love the dragon.

I love it! I make fairy houses and wooden castles and never thought about a quilt castle. While this is great, you could go crazy with more additions - a brown drawbridge? a high up window? with maybe a princess leaning out? my brain is going into overload.......

I'm glad you saw my post in time and it helped! When I appliqued the minky on my quilt, I was told the minky (which was actually the Shannon Fabrics version) won't fray when it's cut, and to just throw it in the dryer with a damp facecloth or two to get rid of all the shedding and that worked really well. I didn't satin stitch mine either, but just used a zigzag in the pile of the minky, which ended up not showing anyway and straight stitched some quilting in, i think. Anyway, it held on thru washing. Your quilt is really cute. I love the dragon!!

I think it's adorable! And great job on the castle shape!
When I work with Minky doing applique, I use just a bit of my 505 basting spray to hold it.
    Regards,
