Sorry for your loss sounds so unreal that does not really express your grief, but you have been strong enough to think of your children and grandchildren and a way they can rejoice in their memories. Quilts last long after we are gone, too. Love and good memories will help you go through the grieving process. Your heart will always miss your husband, but life does go on whether we want it too or not. Love your children and grandchildren with more memories and love every day you have. We are taking each day at a time or one hour at a time as we grieve for lost loved ones.

Your thoughtful work is beautiful. I call it heart tugs. I'm certain your children and grandchildren will treasure them. Did you make one for yourself?

What a wonderful way to work through your grief. As others have stated, I'm sure there were smiles and tears as you stitched each heirloom for your kids and grandkids. What memories they will invoke at Christmas. Sympathy and prayers for you and your family as you work through this.
