He is just too, too cute. I have used your backing and fussy cut material on quilts!

I love giraffes. This one is so cute! Nice work. Glad the QB was able to give you some good pointers.

[QUOTE=sewbelle52;6587473]I LOVE that giraffe!! Where did you get the pattern? You did a great job!
I was browsing on My Quilt Place and saw the quilt on Bonnie Sneed's page; went to her site and she had posted some helps to go along on how she made it; I just copied the picture, took it to Staples and had them blow it up real big. Mine differs from hers in the border of animals in squares. The fabric is from a series of Jungle Babies designed by Patty Reed; you can still find some in Joann stores but I had to go to several different stores to get what I needed. Thanks!

Where did you ever find a flannel print that looks like giraffe? And that baby animal print is perfect. Love how you fussy cut out animals to go in the border. All the details you put in this quilt make it extra special.
Thank you! Yes, forgot to mention hand quilting the expression and brow line, and embroidered the eyes. The flannel was from a series called "Jungle Babies" designed by Patty Reed; I found at Joanns but had to go to several stores to get what I needed, they may be phasing out? not sure; tiger print for borders also from that series; I noticed Walmart carries a line of it but in different color tones. I also found the panel print showing large animals that Bonnie got the idea from and I am just going to starch it stiffly so it can be hung on the wall for baby to see. It is adorable!
