    Default Diaper Day baby quilt

I'll share with y'all what I posted on facebook about this quilt,
This was such a fun quilt to make and I have to share my laugh with y'all! Jade came in while I was putting the diapers on the clothes line, she wanted to know what it was. I told her "It's diapers drying in the sun." Her reply, "That's not diapers, they come in a bag, you don't hang them out or wash them! Looks like blankets to me." So I told her that years ago this was what Birdseye diapers looked like and that we washed them and used them over and over, no bag diapers for us old folks and no dryers to put clothes in, you used God's dryer, the sun! So this may be Alaina's quilt but it's dedicated to every mama that hung diapers out in the sun thousands of times or hung them wherever you could in the house when it rained and baby needed clean ones.....Hope these young parents know what they are....LOL, my friend may have to share the Birdseye diaper story too!!!!!!

I also remember those good old days, actually had 3 little ones in diapers at one time. Your quilt is so cute.

    It's kind of funny -

Now - with automatic washers and dryers - people wash their "regular" clothing a lot more often than when I was growing up.

Seems sort of ironic that - when it's so much easier to wash and dry things - that most people use disposable diapers now.

    Very cute quilt!
