    Default Elephant 2-fabric applique

My sewing machine is in the shop getting a tune up (big time cleaning) and the automatic threader is no longer working - not the end of the world, but it's only 6 months old, so not impressed!

I now have three quilt tops to sew, and here's another to add to the pile. I purchased the pattern from Pacific Rim Quilting ...

Sorry to hear about your sewing machine. Maybe this will fix everything for it and give you long time pleasure.

Your quilt is very striking. It looks like you sketched it on the fabric. I really like it.

Lovely top! Is it fusible or needle turn?

I used white carbon paper to transfer the pattern. It does come out in the wash! Tartan ... it's done the fusible way LOL ... much easier in my mind! I will try needle turn once, but on a much smaller scale!

    Beautiful quilt.

Re your needle threader, not sure if it would apply to your machine, but on mine, I cannot use it with fine needles. It will not work with a 9, the eye is too small for the hook to enter and it will cause problems.

Great fabric choices for your elephants and background. I hope your machine will behave better when it is returned to you. These kinds of things are so frustrating!
