Great job on the feathers. Love the scallop idea.

Very nice and creative. I am guessing that you did the out side of the feather and then went back and filled in the inside of the feather.

Really beautiful work. I would think very carefully before you trim. I think the scallop idea would be very nice.

Great quilting. Whichever way you choose it will be beautiful.

    Gorgeous quilting.

If you decide to trim down the border consider the space that binding will take. That way the feathers are centered in the border.

I like the addition of the scallop. Your feathers are looking fine!

I love it and I think the scallop would look good.

I like it! What if you did two scalloped echo lines, but then did a small filler between those scallops. so it would go - feather, space, scallop, fill, scallop, space, binding. That might give it a sense of intentional placement, looking like it makes its own second border, instead of just echoing to fill in the area.

Beautiful!!! The scallop is a great idea - although it would personally scare me to death to actually go through that knowing what * could happen * if i miscalculated and cut off too much! (Bad memories of my “thrifty Mom” days giving haircuts to my two little guys and always cutting off too much hair!!!)

I am sure that you know what you’re doing, so you go for it if you “see” it that way in your mind’s eye. I’m cheering you on! Can’t wait to see the finished quilt!
