I love scrap quilts, I just never have enough scraps. So I have 2 questions: where do you get your scraps and where do you get your toe nail polish?

I swear, scraps make baby scraps. Your quilts are great.

Great quilts. Do you use batting and backing to quilt them?

As I was sorting through some fabric donations today, it dawned on me that I have more scrap boxes than I have yardage boxes (bigger than a fat quarter.). I do, however, get scraps from two volunteer groups. I should be sewing rather than looking through the forum.

    Thanks for more inspirational scrappies!

I would have thought of using a single background fabric for the borders, to "unify" the design by sort of hiding the scrappiness. I now see how wrong I would have been. Your border fabrics highlight each of the 9 patches and bring out their unique qualities. You did a wonderful job of bringing the disparate fabrics to life. I'm inspired, because I just went through a bag of small scraps of fabrics that I loved. I wanted to use them again, but in a way that would let them shine in a new setting. Then I realized that most of the pieces were very small. I think that several of them would produce 4 patches in a 9 patch. I'm going to make them beginners/enders. Thanks for the inspiration.
