    Default First QOV Delivered

I make a lot of Quilts for Kids quilts. I like them because I can make them fast between whatever larger projects I'm working on. At our September Quilt Guild meeting, the president read a request from the Quilts of Valor organization for a quilt for a disabled Vietnam veteran in our area. Since my son had just deployed to the Mideast, I felt I had to make this one. A fellow Guild member, Kay, (who is a professional longarmer) volunteered to quilt it for me. Although I have a longarm machine, I took her up on her offer I had the quilt ready for Kay at the October meeting and she returned it to me at the November meeting. The American Legion sent someone to present it with me and we presented it last week. He was both surprised and pleased to receive the quilt.
