Well I have to be honest here. It took me a day's work to make it because I had to figure out the pattern as I went and audition my fabrics until I was happy with them, and locate all the other notions I needed to use and cut it out. There are many pieces to cut out, but once that is done, it goes pretty fast.

I am pretty sure the next one won't be as hard because I understand the steps now and I will stack and cut them out in multiples. I have at least five more to go, so wish me luck! LOL! Hopefully I will have all the zippers to match. (Crossing fingers here)
Thanks so much for the nice comments. I do try hard. LOL!

And special thanks to you katier825 for posting the link to the pattern.

Thank you for the web site. I bought the pattern, downloaded it and can't wait to make one. I have been looking for a check book cover, but this has more than that. I learn so much from all of you. Thank you once again!

    dakotamaid and quiltlovr,
Thanks so much! I have to slow way down to topstitch and many times I use a heat disapearing marker to make the lines before stitching and a top stitching needle helps too.
Maybe this will help you a little next time.
Now why haven't I thought of that??? Thanks for the great tip!!
Your so welcome dakotamaid. I use a clear ruler and the heat disappearing ink pen (for quilting/embroidery work) I learned to do this when I was top stitching on garments and jackets.
