wow! You've got some great fabric there. If it were mine, I'm pretty sure it would be in the pile labeled "One day when I get brave enough"!

I will be writing the instructions to the way I made this quilt. Remember you will need two things. The book and Paper pieced patterns listed at the front of this thread, Or just the book, if you care to make the freezer paper pattern and use it for all the blocks. The book comes with the diamond pattern and plain squares. You just need to know the size of the square and do the pineapple block with it. I will let you know all that and I have already posted most of what I am doing here.

Wow Rosy!! What a beautiful quilt. I'm glad you decided on the borders, it really enhances the the look of the whole quilt. Loved it both ways tho. I too have done a quilt where I'd had enough(flying geese) but I plugged on & did feel like I'd really accomplished something afterwards. Great job - love to see how it's quilted.

I have finished two borders and attached them. Now we have the famous y- seams. Here you see the top border and the side border with the half blocks waiting to be joined.

I then folded the quilt in half, as it is too big to pin to the board now, so you can see the top and side borders joined.

I have only one more border to do and the quilt will be finished. I will post the last pic when I have quilted and put the binding on. I suppose that will take another week or so.

Looking at this quilt at a distance, one can see so many images forming. I think I would like to hang it on a wall to enjoy the interesting effects.

I took many breaks from it tho. My sister was here from England for the month of Feb and I wanted to spend time with her so I worked on it here and there. I do sew very fast tho as sewing was my first profession.

I have just read this entire thread and realized that I have written the instructions lol. The only thing I would add, is that the square pineapple block needs to be 15 and 3/4. You must be familiar with foundation or paper piecing. You must have the book to get the pattern and the book also has a step by step of placing the strips. To do the square blocks, you can follow my instructions.
