    OOPs, I forgot one step in the above instructions and was too late to edit the post!! After you make the 5 strip and 11 strip sets and cross cut them, you need to add a white sashing on either side. So, cut 24 white pieces, each 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" and sew on both sides of the shorter white/bright strip, and cut 24 white pieces, each 1 1/2" x 11 1/2" and sew on both sides of the long white/bright strip. then each of these pieces are sewn on the sides and top/bottom of the center square respectively.

    So sorry for forgetting this step. There is a reason I am not a pattern writer!!!!

    Great use of bright colors and scraps! I'm always on the lookout for different looking quilts using scraps. You did a really lovely job!

    Double OOPS, you will need 48 (not 24) of each of the two size white sashing strips, since each block uses 4 on the sides of the shorter ones and 4 on the top/bottom of the longer ones.

    Well, you are getting what you pay for here!!
