Default Grandma's flower garden table runner

This was a 5 part ( sew along) project in The Quilt Pattern Magazine I've been working on. January is the Put it all together month. I am appliquing mine to the green background, then quilting it. It has been my hand project during breaks at work. I really like this one.

Please let me know how you are going to applique it to the back ground - gluing/basting it on, hand or machine sewing.

I am very interested in your answers as I have been working on a VERY long term project and now have to make decisions as to how I am going to get it onto the background.

    A lovely piece of work.

I basted it to the background ( thread basted) and am now doing a small ( by hand) blanket stitch to applique it. When I have it blanket stitched all the way around I will add a thin batting, a backing, then quilt it. Haven't decided yet on the quilting-- taking it one step at a time.

Thanks for that info. I have been working on mine for sometime - I am sure because in my mind I see that what I want to do is possible and now that I see someone else doing what I envisage it will make me hurry up and pull mine out and get re-energised about it again.
