What a wonderful friend you are! Beautiful quilt, beautiful colors (looks taupish to me). How are you going to quilt it? Want to see it quilted.

I would love to try to quilt it like one I saw in a video, it had sort of a feather/flowerin one color and a feather/fern in the other. Unfortunately my machine or the user  has a bit of a control problem. It's like driving in a hard varible wind. About the time you get used to the feel and know how to steer to stay on the road, the wind lets up and you dart across to the other side! Or you're going along smoothly and a sudden gust comes up and blows you out of your lane! I don't know if that analogy makes sense to anybody but because of it I can't do much except stipple/meander or a pantograph.
I long for the day I can get a good quality longarm.
and no the pattern was pretty simple as long as you keep it organized, you make strip sets then cut them into strips then sew them back together. Of course if you get over confident as I did then of course you'll have some booboos to fix.
I'm thinking of doing one in baby fabrics.

That is sooo pretty! You did a great job of hand dyeing the fabric. Looks brown in the picture. She will love it, I know I would!

It's beautiful and I'm sure your friend will treasure it. So glad to hear she's getting settled into her new home and will have this wonderful "homewarming" gift!
