some of them came from my grandma who grew up on a farm and saved everything. She had them in a box in her attic where they kept in almost perfect condition. Some of them had slight staining and have permanent crease lines in them, but they hold up very well. The rest came from my aunt who was helping clean out her boyfriend's mothers house who did a lot of crafts. There were a few large boxes of fabric and my mom was invited to take her pick of anything in the craft room. Most of the fabric was upholstery, but she found one box of feedsacks and a quilting hoop (which she never used, but I use quite often).

Yes, I have lucky neighbors, but we're lucky to have them as neighbors. There sort of my third set of grandparents as they moved into their house a year or so after my grandparents moved into thrirs(which we now live in) and their kids and my dad and uncles played together a lot. And they've been great neighbors so I had to thank them somehow with more than words.
