    Your quilt is lovely, but I would also display the tree all the time.

    I think I would leave family jewels out all the time too. What a conversation piece!

    if I had a place to put the "family Jewels" I would leave them out year round.

    They had a woman on one of the shows with a manequin "dressed" completely in old costume jewelry. As they were turning it, I told my dh....hey, I have that one, and that one and that one. He nearly fell off the couch when they told her what it was worth, lol. And I do wear some of the pieces sometimes.

    Last year, I took out all the fancy sparkling ones and put red ribbons on them, and hung them on the Christmas tree. They made lovely ornaments.
