Default Huge Finish-- Quilt By Givio

My friend and our board member Givio passed away Feb.1st of cancer. She left several unfinished quilts for her family that I promised to finish for her. This is the third one I've quilted, and what a pleasure it was to work on. She had collected 1296 unique 2.5" fabric squares to use in the quilt. The center, up to the first small border, has NO REPEATS. That took a lot of collecting and trading. (You may even see some of your fabrics in there!) Working on her quilts puts me in awe of what a fabulous quilter she was. This quilt is going to one of her sisters, but it sure is hard to let it go! Love, love, love it! I know her sister will too.

    87" square...

That quilt is stunning Sewbizgirl! You are such a great friend to be finishing these quilts for Givio. The use of color and the no repeats is just incredible. I love how you quilted it btw. Very effective but loose enough to make it look a bit fluffy, perfect choice. Givio’s sister will love it!

That is her love radiating in this one! You are a true friend indeed to finish these for her! I have no doubt that her family will not see just her, but also see how much she was loved in these treasures you finish. Heirlooms indeed!
