    If you are going to renew the backing, scrap as much of that nasty rubber backing off as you can. Super Grip works best on just the fabric. It works on the rubber, but not as well. I've never had a problem getting the backing off, it came off on everything. Love yellow flecks of stuff all over. LOL.
