Boy, you sure had some fun! Go back and have some more! LOL! What great prices too. You really can't pass up deals like that! I think it's against quilting law or something...

Oh my stars, Gayle!! You done good!! You were smart to buy large amounts of yardage at those prices---Backing always sets you back so much.

    Soooo--did you go back again????

Too bad the store is closing. But it sounds like you're well supplied. LOL. Lovely fabrics. It would be fun to find a sale like that.

Just got back from hitting the store again. What a zoo!! There were many many ladies there and I didn't even get there until 3 hrs after opening. I only bought one more 7 yard piece at 3 per yard. The rest was 1-3 yard pieces all at 40%off. Even at that price I spent another $190.

If you can get them on sale at a great price it is the thing to do. I tend to do a lot of things in cool colors and have made more than a few quilts lately so I have a collection of "backs" that I purchased for from $1 to $5 per yard, most of them in the 1.69-2.00 range. I always make sure it is a good quality fabric, there are a lot out there I wouldn't purchase because I don't want the fading or falling apart that I have experienced in the past. I just can see spending $50 to $80 for the back of a quilt. So what if they don't match perfectly!!!
