love your quilting and the subject of bees! How in the world did you do pebbles on the black border without going blind? Did you quilt the pebbles from the back? I did FMQ on a black background and vowed never to do it again, even with side lighting and turning my machine light off, could I remotely see what I was doing. Kudos to you for a gorgeous job.

By George I think you've got it!!! Marvelous job! I love everything about your quilt. It should be nice and warm this winter.

I used a dark grey thread on the front for the pebbles because it matched a dark grey that is part of the pattern. I figured it would be camouflaged in there a bit. Also, to be perfectly honest, I decided I would do "messy" pebbles, not exact ones. My theory is if you can't be perfect, then make it look deliberate .

Thanks everyone for your nice comments.

Good golly Miss Molly! That quilt is awesome! I could quilt until I was 200 years old & never have a quilt look as good as yours. How did you learn to be so proficient so fast? I wish I had 1/2 your talent. About those pebbles....I've never seen a perfectly round, exact pebble picked up off the ground so why should pebbles on a quilt be any different? Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilt with us.
