I prefer #1 but they are both very pretty - either would make anyone a happy receiver!

I like the one on the right. Someone said it's more restful to the eye, and that's what is catching my eye.

I had to join in here. I guess it would depend on what you want to be the focal point. On the first one, the white down the middle stands out where as the one on the left it blends in more, or that is what MY eye sees. It is interesting to hear what peoples choices are. I personally like the one on the right. No I do not need change back for my two cents worth!!!!

Pam, knowing what your work looks like, no matter which one you choose it will be fabulous.

The first one makes the center motif stand out better than the second one.

I like the first one too. They are both nice, but the one on the left is more crisp, but at the same time, restful to my eye, allowing it to move in a more orderly manner.

I think the reason I like the second is because it is more "unexpected" and non-traditional. I like that.

Thank you for all the opinions. I really don't know which one I like best yet! I like the structure of #1 but I also like that #2 breaks it up a bit.

Am I going to have to do 2 of them?!? :-P

I did see some other fabric in softer pastels that would look fabulous in this design....
