    You did an excellent job for your first try! Paper piecing is really the best way to do a Mariner's Compass and have it come out flat.

    I think you should put this as your avatar picture, it's really beautiful! :thumbup:

    WOW THAT IS STUNNING! You did GREAT.

    This sort of makes me want to try it - I figure paper piecing is the way to go.

    This is neat. The thing about Mariners Compass is you never tire of looking at them. The color combinations make them so unique.
