Default Mermaid Quilt for my daughters room

This was my second quilt, it is a wall hanging that I designed the mermaid from a drawing I made. basically my own applique pattern. That was a lot of work.

I so love the colors, it is a real masterpiece, in my books. I have decided to do a block a month for 2014, but nothing like this.

One block a month is a really cool idea, I am sure you could reflect the seasons or even your feelings with the colors you choose as well. Thanks for the feedback on my quilt.

Very Pretty! Does the mermaid look like your daughter? You did a wonderful job capturing that feeling when diving into water and feeling free.

Lovely. I really like underwater scenes and this one is beautifully done.

BEAUTIFUL! I love everything about it...the vivid colors, the beautiful details of sea life, the real looking mermaid -- you did an exceptional job! What are you doing with it now -- keeping it or giving it to someone special?
