    Default My 1st Tshirt quilt

This was my 1st Tshirt quilt, a friend wanted me to do it for her son's Christmas gift this year. I kind of panicked as I'd never done one. Called a friend that has done lots and also looked at all I could find on the net. Decided to just go with my instinct on it because I wanted to use the most of the pictures that I could. I liked the fusible tricot the best for the backs, it stayed fused on. I cut my blocks the size I wanted and then taped off the floor in the dining room with painters tape to the size I wanted (queen) and started arranging them. I knew I had fabric from his 1st big boy shirt, the blanket he came home from the hospital in, and a sheet from his 1st big boy bed to use for filling in....it all worked in the end and would I do another one??? You betcha, but only for someone special....LOL!!!!!

You did a great job! But I know what you mean when you say you'll only do it for someone special. I feel the same way.

That is great. I have made two of them to date and used a pattern that had random sizes. I like the way you sized your blocks. It is more work doing one like that but worth the extra effort.

I understand doing another - for someone special. I've made 2 - for 2 special sons!
