    Default My daughter’s (first) quilt.

I finished her first quilt today. She is 4 and picked the fabric for the front and back, the pattern, and the thread I used for quilting. I used Sun Print 2019 by Alison Glass for Andover on the top. The backing is a piece I picked up at a stash buster sale at my LQS. I wish I had more of it, though. I kind of wanted to use it on a quilt for myself. The pattern is called Slice of Life by MSQC. My FMQ loops leave something to be desired but some of it looks pretty good so I’m pleased with the quilt overall. Thank you for looking.

Great teamwork! You and your daughter will have happy memories that went into the making of this quilt. I bet you might just give her the quilting bug as well.

I think your loops are lovely and allover design on that is a great choice. Well done both of you!

She did a great job on the colors and you did a great job on the quilt. I'm sure she will love it for a long time.

Too bad she chose a backing that you would have liked for a quilt of your own, but it does show that you have the same taste in fabric! Good job!

What a great cooperative effort. So cute too and your quilting is fine for the project.
