Default My Fantasia panel - not fractured

This was made for a recent wedding of a GS and his bride. Double snuggle size, but not bed size. Timeless Treasures Fantasia and batiks from my stash. I love the Tree of Life and had no desire to cut it up as the company shows it used. I added batik blocks in an over and under pattern, after using a little black and red to make the center larger. The wider than usual binding is one of the Fantasia coordinates to bring the panel color back to the edge. It's about 73" by 82". They are both tall and she runs cold so I wanted it long enough. The batting is doubled in the panel area to give the quilting (following tree branches, etc) more definition. Quilting was just meandering in each block with variegated thread. Backing was a clearance cotton from CT made wider with some batik blocks. I don't care for gray, but it worked well here.

Thank you, everyone. I have decided that quilts with tiny pieces are for me to admire when made by someone else, but my genre may be larger pieces with the emphasis on color - at least until I get a little more caught up. I have 5 children, 12 GC and 12 GGC with another on the way. They just keep coming. I do like this quilt a lot so I don't mind making another.
