Wonderful job! I found PP to be very addicting, couldn't do just one. My problem is that I HATE to waste fabric so I end up being very exact in finding fabric to match my spaces. So far I have been very lucky and haven't goofed. Really love the colors you used. Keep up the good work.

Very pretty! Pacific Fabrics has beautiful fabrics. I've purchased fabric from the Issaquah, WA store when I lived there.

I made the same one years ago. Where you have white, etc., I used tissue lame' in corresponding colors. It is one way to get sharp points is in pp. Yours is a beauty. Great work.

Outstanding job! I love the black and white print fabric, that really adds nice dimension. Paper piecing is so clean looking, love it.

... I had someone give me about a 10 minute demo and I just decided that I could do it. The 'hardest' part is understanding how it operates. Once you 'get it' you've got it. Personally, I enjoy it.
I agree about "getting it" with PP. I bought the Carol Doakes video and her book on Mariner's Stars. Once my mind got around which way to place the new piece, things went pretty fast and I was eager to make a second star.

GREAT WORK AND CHOICE OF COLORS!!!

Love it! Beautiful colors and so well co-ordinated.
We had a workshop on The Mariner's Compass last Fall. We were told it was so simple it went together in no time. I thought it was difficult to get the points correct. I had to have a friend help me get it done. WHeeeee!

Thank you all for the great comments. So that you'll know... Where it looks white in the pic., it is actually either a light violet batik or a light blue batik. (dk blue aside lt. blue --- dk purple aside lt violet.) The only white is the small space between each outer point that looks like smoke.
