Default My first FMQ finish

A couple of weeks ago I asked for help and advice on FMQ. You ladies were very helpful to me and this is the finished product. It is one of those that need to be viewed while riding a very fast galloping horse. After several broken needles, broken thread, missed stitches, lots of eyelashes etc. etc. it is just good to be done with it. It will not be given away but will rest on a bed that is infrequently used by our grown grandchildren who thankfully will not be critiquing it. My prayer is just that it holds together. I learned a great deal about the process as well as about my machine and myself. The one piece of advice that I didn't take was to do the fmq in short sessions (of about 15 minutes). I should have listened to that one! Thank you all for the help and encouragement. I may try this again in about 5 years after I recover from this challenge.

Looks great! I don't do a lot of FMQ myself - too stressful. I do a lot of walking foot quilting, including echoing and slight curves. Works for me. Yours looks just right.

gorgeous quilt beautiful colors for this pattern. We are so critical for our own "not perfect" quilt. As you said, you learned a lot and the next one will be less difficult. do not give up FMQ!

Beautiful Hunter's Star quilt. I really like your color choices. They look so nice together in this pattern. Please don't be too hard on yourself with your adventure into FMQ-all of us who do it have walked along the same path and the frustrations that happen. Believe me, it will get easier. There is lots of information available to help work out the problems.
