    Default My first FMQ Quilt

Happy Christmas to all. This is part printed panel, A couple first paper pieces, some applique, some embroidery, some free association/improvising. I did Stitch in Ditch for some and did some very rough FMQ -- but did it! This is a play mat for my grandson so it will get lots of wash and wear and I don't think he'll criticize the errors. I learned a lot and hope to try out techniques again. I watched Ann Peterson's Craftsy class, which was very helpful and both the 2012 and 2013 block of the month Craftsy Class and a paper piecing class. Can you tell I took advantage of the discounted and free classes?! Thanks for looking.

nicely done... i have a world map panel i didn't know what to do with, but your quilt gives me the idea... use it as a backing instead of the front and choose a world related theme for the front.

Congrats on the quilt and the FMQ. The more you do the easier it gets.
