    Default My first quilt top

My daughter wanted me to make her new baby a quilt. As a long time sewer i knew I could handle the sewing part. I'd only ever pieced tote bags, never a quilt which has to be perfect so with the help of a great LQS owner in Bellingham, WA who helped me figure out what I needed I bought some fabric. Before I cut into it I decided I wanted to try the pattern first. I didn't want to screw up the "real" thing. So of course, like all fabric-a-holics, I had some extra fabric in my stash and I cut out what I needed. With the help of You Tube and great ladies on here I was able to cut it out, sew it together and actually be happy with the finished product. My DD's will be the same as this but without the border.
