Oh my what beautiful treasures these are. I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing. Her memory will certainly live on in the amazing work she put into these beautiful quilts. Thank you so much for posting these pictures.

    Sure! LOL!

Actually, we don't (can't) have kids, so I honestly don't know yet what'll happen to the quilts later on. That's something I've got to think about, especially since nobody else in the family has any interest in them. :?

I'll treasure these quilts forever. 8-)
Did you all notice how basic and simple all these quilt patterns are and I'll just bet neither Granny ran to the LQS for matching fabric. Their beauty is in their simplicity.

I struggled for years to have kids, lost a bunch and actually did have two girls. I remember the absolute pain that goes along with wanting children and not being able to have them. Reading your response made me tear up. I sure hope one of your nieces or nephews comes to learn to love quilts and will treasure and care for these someday in the far distant future. (((hugs)))

Really appreciate the time you took to share your heirloom quilts with us. I especially love looking at vintage quilts/quilting. Even though you don't have children of your own, perhaps you will find a young "apprentice" who you can entrust your collection, but I am sure you will have many, many, happy years of enjoying your quilts. Thanks again.
