Very clever use of selvages; had to have taken time to accumulate. Love the addition of the photo/frames. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks again ladies...

get your quilt sisters to save you their selvage strips...
remember to ask for a 1/4 inch of fabric.
    Good luck to all

Is the 1/4 inch of fabric the selvage plus some of the fabric? I've been cutting them off and putting them in a bag and I leave about a 1/2 to 1 inch of fabric on them. Don't know what I'll do with them, but after seeing they were useful, I couldn't throw them away. Yep, I'm a fabric hoarder! LOL

    Hi

you want and need all of the written part of the selvage plus minimum 1/4 inch of fabric.
When I am saving my own selvages l give myself 1/2 an inch...
but if asking friends .. I am happy with 1/4 inch which will becomes the seam.
that way I don't loose any of the writing.

if you only get the written part it is very hard to do any thing with that selvage.
    your seams become too small.

    Hope this info help...
